It was really funny how the idea came to me. I was thinking of what VB sticker to use next and thanks to the TV that played that 'Apple Pen' song again and again, the song got stuck on my head enough to spark an idea -- to do a VB Sticker Set Mash Up. (Ding!)
Alright, let's start.
If you have been following me on Instagram (@celenewrites) you would know that I'm doing a Planner Clip Storage project using a 3-Ring Binder with hobby card protector sleeves.
I want to transform and decorate 1 of the hobby card sleeve into a pocket-letter-style planner clip storage.
Alright! Time to get crafty! I took out below materials to start crafting what I have in mind:
- VB Dreamer Kit
- VB Cecilia Sticker Set
- Hobby Card Protector Sleeves
- Craft Scissors
- Ad Tech Removable Tape Roller
- Permanent Tape Roller
- Decorating Supplies (such as glittered washi tapes, doilies, sequins, beads & strings)
I measured the pockets of the protector sleeve to know the size I need for each of the cardstock that would go inside the pockets. I've cut 9 different color coordinating cardstock patterns to measure 3 3/8" x 2 1/2".
For the decorations:
Pocket #1 : I used the Pretty Little Studios alpha stickers to form the word LOVE and the Take Me Away buntings and ampersand ephemera which are both included in the Dreamer Kit.
Pocket #2 : I used the Pretty Pink Posh sequin from the Dreamer Kit and the Take Me Away pink bow and yellow striped frame ephemera to make a fun pocket shaker card. I used the little plastic tray that came with the Take Me Away ephemera pack to serve as the plastic window. I cut it to the size of the frame and stuck them together. Then I placed a double sided foam adhesive on the sides of the frame, placed several of the sequins in and placed the cardstock facing down to seal it. Ta-dah! I have a shaker card!
Pocket #3 : I decided to transform the pocket into a washi tape holder. This pocket holds a sampler of the floral washi tape from the Dreamer Kit. The card is decorated with the couch sticker from the Dreamer Sticker set together with cut outs of pink and gold doilies.
Pocket #4 : I got a little resourceful and used the Lavender Baker's Twine of the Dreamer Kit packaging to decorate the Take Me Away "Faith is Bigger Than Fear" ephemera. I used page flag stickers from both Dreamer and Cecilia Sticker Sets and a vintage floral sticker from the Dreamer Kit.
Pocket #5 : I used the adorable Lavender doily used by Tiffany for the Dreamer Kit packaging to decorate the pocket card. I used this pocket as a paperclip storage.
#7 : The “So Much Fun” and mini flower ephemera are from the Take Me Away pack. I added Cecilia page flag stickers and the floral washi tape from the Dreamer Kit to add a pop of color to the pocket card.
#8 : Of all pockets, this is the one I enjoyed making the most. I used the Take Me Away 3-canister ephemera with a page flag and a header sticker from the Dreamer Kit. I swiped some permanent tape on the bottom of each canister and stuck on gold, white and pink beads to the canister that says 'beads', lavender and purple sequins to the canister that says 'buttons' and a pink rolled thread and the lavender baker's twine to the canister that says 'string'. They are pretty ‘Little Things”, right?
#9 : The last pocket holds the 3 pretty Take Me Away paperclips included in the VB Dreamer Kit.
I used the Ad Tech Removable Tape Roller to attach most of the ephemera in this project. This Removable Tape Roller is amazing! You can reuse your favorite ephemera over and over again and never worry about damaging it. The sticky tape rubs off clean so you can store your pretty ephemera for future use again. And you know what's even more amazing? You can get them here at Shop VIllabeautifful at the Supplies Section. They are must haves for every crafter and planner girl, I promise.
This is my finished VB Stickers Mash up project. I call it Cecilia's Dream! I hope you love it as much as I do!
And while I'm at it, I know I need to do a Cecilia's Dream planner layout too!
