Hello Planner Girls, today we have two of our Design Team Members - Lem and Pia showing you how they used the Live Colorfully Decorating Kit.
Let's start with Lem
Hello my planner loves. It feels like it's been forever. I hope your most recent holidays have been a great one. Today I will be sharing with you a fun chic mini happy mail card I made using Decembers Villabeautiful "living colorfully" kit.
I love Kate spade, so when I first saw the sneak peaks I was super excited and immediately had an idea of what I wanted to do with this kit. The patterns and colors are so much fun. I decided I would make a fun Happy mail for one of my closest girlfriends. To start, I used these cute Heidi Swap mini manilla folders that I had laying around. I thought they were a perfect match. They are also very vibrant and colorful. Everything I used for this mini card was from the kit with the exception of very few items.
In the front I kept it simple using one of the quotes from the planner VB deco box stickers, I added one of the cute handbag ephemera and a sticker from the me and my BIG ideas foil pack.
The first part of the card I used a vibrant blue ribbon to hold in place one of the tiny manilla folders. I didn't secure it tightly because I wanted to be able to pull it out.
Inside the tiny folder is simply decorated with more of the fun kit. I made a "secret" pocket behind the "be happy be bright be you" journal card. The thin "xo" washi tape allows the card to stay in place with out having to glue the card down so I am able to add a tiny note.
Since there were 4 different size mini manilla folders I decided to washi tape the two biggest ones. I used a thicker black flower print washi that i had to hold both together. I just decorated the inside using more stickers and the ephemera from the kit.
For the last part of the card. I attached the smallest folder to the larger folder also using it as a pocket. In the inside of the mini folder I made a cute little removable shaker pocket. A pocket within a pocket. Hahaha.
I used a collectors card vynl sheet to achieve this. I only used two pockets so I can fold it in half, the front part as a shaker and the back part to add a note or paper clip.
Well loves this completes my mini project card. I hope you have found inspiration. Lots of VB love your way! Till next time

First of all, how are you and how is the start of your year so far?
I hope all you VB Addicts had a great holiday season. The start of the year is one of my absolute favorite time because I feel like every new year is a chance to experience something new. To happily reset some important things in life.
Like getting a brand new planner (So happy to do this).
Start a new habit.
Track that new habit in the new planner (YAAS).
Get new stickers for that new habit to be tracked in the new planner (double YAAS). LOL
Getting the Living Colorfully VB kit to start this year couldn't have been more perf because this kit just screams happy to me. I could have easily named this kit The Happy Kit.
It must be the crisp and bright colors.
And if you are a Kate Spade fan... well, need I say more? You obviously neeeed this kit
Then you're gonna need to get one for your planner bestie too. Or just share because you get a lot of stickers, washi and ephemera in this kit.
The ephemera is playful yet sophisticated. Totally Kate Spadey.
I do love the Clear Tape Sticker sheet. I love that ALL VB kits have this because it is my favorite and I feel like not many of the sticker shops sell this type of sticker. And did I mention that it fits perfectly in my traveler's notebook insert?!
If you are using the AnniePlans printable inserts, there is no need for you to cut or trim.
Just peel and stick.
I especially love the ephemera in the kit because it totally reminds me of my girlfriends.
The Kate Spade purses. The bling. The glam.
I usually use these to decorate my planner but this time I used most of it to create a special Valentine's Day thingy for my friend, Jessica who happens to be not just a planner addict like myself but also a Kate Spade aficionado.
I thought it would be a great idea to send her something Kate Spade inspired Valentine's Day happy mail using the ephemera and some of the goodies in this kit.
I've been recently obsessed with making these rosette “lollipops” and loaded envelopes for penpals and girlfriends and I just love how it all turned out!
I hope you find some inspiration today and some useful tips here and there. And remember, use the goodies however way you want. NO RULES here.
And just have loads of FUN.
Until next time!
