VB Close Up: Reading List Set Up
Ah, Serenity! Not only is that the name of the VBKit I used this month, but it's how I feel when I look at the projects I created using the kit. This VBKit is so serene and sophisticated, I cannot help but feel the same.
I knew I wanted to use the blank pages in my Print Pression Weeks planner to journal books. (Even if you don't have a Weeks planner, you can create this kind of set up on any paper: grid, lined, or even the blank notebook included in this month's VBKit!)

Specifically, I wanted to use the section to keep track of books to read [and maybe jotting down which ones I finished, as well] to learn more about racism in the United States. This is a subject I've been learning more about the past couple of years, but the current times felt like the right time to really start to document this process and my learning.
Now, before I dig in and share how I set up this first page - I want to remind you of something. Don't overlook anything that comes in the kit! This plant is actually cut out from the contents card that is included in the VBKit! I thought it was so beautiful and why not put it to use?
As I said, this is really going to be a space for WHAT I'm reading [or the lists for what I want to read] and not so much notes or quotes from the text. I have something else in mind for that. However, these pages provide enough room for lists that I can jot down as I think of them or on the go.
While I'm not going to do the work on these pages, there's no reason why I cannot remind myself of my goal!

I'm looking forward to decorating the next pages as I continue to add to the titles I accrue and the ones that I'd like to add to my personal library, as well. I love how the Serenity VBKit allows me to decorate the pages yet still feel like like the emphasis is on the subject. WIN-WIN!

Hopefully you're loving the Serenity VBKit as much as I am and will share how you're using the kit on your projects!

Thanks for reading!
