VB Tutorial: Pencil Board

Hey Villababes!
Happy Fall!! This morning I am sharing a project I made for my Hobonichi Weeks. I use my Weeks as a journal. I made a pencil board so that when I write, it helps prevent impressions on other pages.

Supplies:

  • Cardstock cut to size (I used some of the kit packaging!)
  • Decorations
    • Ribbon
    • Washi
    • Die cuts
    • Journaling or quote cards
    • Vinyls
  • Glue/adhesive
  • Laminator
  • Lamination pouch

Step 1:

Gather and layout/design your pencil board. I love VB washi! I decided to decorate the back of the packaging by covering it with washi from the VB Studio kit and added some coordinating washi from my stash.

On the front of the project, I added a journaling card, a piece of ribbon, and a bow vinyl to pop out of the top of my hobonichi.

Step 2:

Once assembled, I laminated the project which helps to create a smooth surface on the washi side for writing. Please note: Before laminating allow ample time for any glue used to fully dry! Sadly, I was so excited I rushed it and got some seepage.

I hope you all are loving your VB Studio kits as much as I am … until next time!
