VB Tutorial: Deco Tags
Hello everyone!

Today's blog is a tutorial for creating decorative tags. These tags can be used as gift tags, planner pocket deco, or even bookmarks.

Supplies needed:
  • VB Kit papers
  • Scissors/Cutting board
  • Hole punch
  • Ribbon
  • Adhesive
  • VB stickers
  • VB washi
  • Tag template
  • Tracing marker/pen

Optional:

Assorted paper punches
Die cutting machine
Die cuts
VB packaging

I'm going to use "Once Upon a Time" VB Kit contents to create my tags. Once you've gathered your supplies, let's get started!
Step 1: Find a tag template. This can be one you print from the internet or a tag you already have around the house. I had these tags in my craft stash and I liked the varying shapes and sizes.

Step 2: Pick the VB Kit paper you want as your tag background. I love that the VB papers are all double sided!
Step 3: Using a pen or marker, trace the tag template onto the VB paper.

Step 4: Cut along the trace lines using scissors or a cutting board.
Step 5: Use a hole punch to create a hole at the top center of your tags.
Step 6: This step can be as simple or intricate as you want! You can use paper punches or a die cutting machine/die cuts to create lots of fun shapes to add to your tags. Scrap paper and the VB Kit packaging are perfect for this. If you don't have any of those tools, you can use scissors to cut out flags, banners, and other simple shapes.
Step 7: Lay out your extra pieces on the tags and see what looks best to you.

Step 8: Once you have it how you like it, use adhesive (glue stick or tape runner) to stick everything onto the tags. I used a piece of scrap paper to make a small pocket on one of the tags (center). This way, I can add a small note or gift label!
Step 9: Use some washi tape to add a little extra sparkle and shine to your tags.
Step 10: Top them off with a few VB stickers!
Step 11: Add some ribbon or string into the hole you punched at the top of the tags.
And that's it! This is such a cute and fun way to use up any extra VB Kit paper you may have left from your other projects. Tie them onto a gift bag, slide them into a planner pocket, or write a note on the back for a one-of-a-kind Valentine's Day mini card!
