VB Tutorial: Pocket Page

Hi VB friends!

It’s Maria here, and I’m super excited to share with you some of the fun things I made using the September “Magical Plans” VB kit. I know I say this every time, but THIS kit is my FAVORITE kit ever! The colors are gorgeous, the images of the stars, crystals, and moons, the precious dangle clips, and the pen……oh the pen….. it’s absolutely stunning! I feel like I will be making projects with this kit for a while because I just can’t get enough. To start out, I decided to make a pocket page for my Happy Planner. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. I hope you love it just as much as I do!

Supplies used:

VB kit 3x4 cards

VB kit paper and vellum

VB kit sticky notes

VB kit washi

VB kit stickers

VB acetate die cuts

Sorted sequins

Paper trimmer

Happy Planner pocket page

Step 1: I’m using a Vertical Layout Happy Planner for my set up this month. I started with 4 VB cards, a pocket page, and vellum.

Step 2: I decided to put two cards back to back in two of the spots. Then I cut a piece of vellum to fit in one of the other pockets using my paper trimmer. I played around with the placement of the cards and vellum until I liked how they looked.  I think that is just a matter of preference, and the cards are all so cute you can’t go wrong no matter where you put them. ☺

Step 3: Then I went through my stash of sequins and glitter to find a good combination. I was super excited when I found a little VB sequins pack from a VB kit a while back. It matched perfectly with the purples, silver and holo sequins. I had been hoarding/keep them safe for just the right time, and I figured this was it! I also found some tiny stars and moons…. perfect match!
Step 4: My favorite part of making these pocket pages is filling them up with sparkly sequins! I took a random mix of my sequins and glitter and dropped them in one of the pockets. I also took out one of the clear acetate die cuts and dropped it in there too. It’s perfect for this because you can see it clearly from both sides. Lastly, I took a piece of holo washi to seal it at the top. Perfection!!!

Step 5: I took the magnetic clip and attached it to the vellum pocket. I love how it stands out and seems to be in the night sky. This clip is so pretty, I wanted to make sure and put it somewhere it stood out. I love how it looks here!

On the back I attached a silver sparkly rhinestone to the magnet so that you couldn’t see it. Again, I think it adds a little extra sparkle to the page.

This kit is just perfection in every way! I’m off to create some more fun projects with it. I can’t wait to see how you use your VB kit! Don’t forget to share in the villabeauTIFFul FB group and tag @shopvillabeautifful on Instagram. Links to VB social medias are below!

Lots of Love,

Maria
