VB Tutorial: Schedule Dashboard

Hey VillaBabes!

In today’s DIY blog post, we will be using the Shine Bright VBKit digitals to create a schedule dashboard, but you can replicate a similar look with any of the previous VBKits if there is one that fits your aesthetics!

Things you will need today:

  1. Canva.com account

  2. VB Shine Bright Digitals

  3. Printer

  4. Vellum/Paper (depending on the look you’d like to achieve)

Many of our lives have been rocked during this quarantine and I think it’s safe to say that many of our schedules have changed. Whether you are working from home, a stay at home mom that has assumed the duties of a school teacher, or a teacher who is attempting to teach via online sessions (like me), we could all use this cute dashboard in the front of our planners!

Step 1: Log into Canva and enter your planner insert dimensions by clicking on “Create a Design” and then clicking on custom dimensions. For this tutorial, I did my dimensions for pocket rings!

Step 2: Upload all of your VB digitals to Canva.

Step 3: Choose a background paper pattern that you like and adjust the opacity. (I personally like to make it lighter because I feel that the text shows up a little better.) Next, choose an image that you’d like to go at the top of your page. I chose the gorgeous holo triangle with the crystals. Center the image towards the top.

Step 4: Type in a title for your digital. I used “Daily Schedule (Quarantine Work Week)” for mine! This is something I plan to reference every day during the weekdays.

Step 5: Get creative! I customized my sheet with an inspirational quote and then added my schedule for the work week.

Make sure to leave a small margin on the left because once you cut and punch your inserts, the text may get cut off if you get too close to the edges!

Step 6: Print, cut, and punch! You can achieve different looks using different types of paper for this last step. I opted for regular printer paper for this look! Enjoy your cute schedule during quarantine!
