VB Spoilers: Digital Project
Hi everyone!

Today I'm sharing another fun way to use VB Kit digital content. I'll be making a resolution list for 2020 featuring the VB Advent Calendar digitals.

If you've read my blogs before, you know I love to use the Canva website for projects. It's easy to use, has lots of great tools, and there's so much you can do with the free version!

For more information on VB Kit digital content, click here.

Once you create your account, you have the option to use a pre-designed template or to create a design of your own. For creating your own design, make sure you change the pixels option to inches and size it for your planner. I'm in a B6 travelers notebook, which is 5x7".
Once the design screen is up, you will see an Elements tab on a toolbar on the left of your screen. For my project, I want to do a collage dashboard featuring different papers from the VB Kit. To do this, select the Grids option. Then, scroll and find a layout that appeals to you. Try a few out! I liked one that had three vertical spaces and three horizontal spaces.
The next step is to fill in the empty spaces in the layout template. Upload your VB Kit digital papers and clip art to Canva via the Uploads section.

Then, simply drag the different papers to the desired space to fill the template. Find out what patterns and colors work best for your project by moving them around and swapping until they're exactly like you want them.

I use the transparency tool (the icon appears on the top banner, far right when you have an image selected) to adjust the images so text can be easily read when added.
Using the Text section of the toolbar, you can choose a template or pick your own fonts from their font book. It can be fun to mix different styles of text, as well as adjusting the font spacing, or trying out all caps. Play around with the different options to see what works best!

I filled in each of the spaces on my grid template with something that is a personal priority of mine for 2020. Of course, this isn't a complete list, but it never hurts to have a pretty reminder around to catch your eye.
After my papers and phrases were set, I wanted to sprinkle in a little deco. The digital images from the VB Advent Calendar were too cute not to use! I mean... how perfect are the clothes rack, shoe, and hat box images for the "Analyze Spending" space?!
Canva also has images available for free use. You can find them under the Elements section of the toolbar. Use the search bar to find what you're looking for - in my case, books! I especially love when the art has adjustable colors so I can make it match my project. I think this book stack coordinated quite well after it had a VB color palette makeover!
Canva has lots of ways to customize your digital projects! Be sure to click around and try them out. I decided last minute to make the background of my collage pink. Why not, right?!
Once you are happy with how your collage looks, select to Download from the Publish button in the top right corner of the screen. Then, you're ready to print!
This can be used as an art print for your desk or as a dashboard in your planner or however you want. You can mix it up with inspirational quotes, your word of the year, photos - the sky is the limit! For me, I wanted to be sure to have this front and center as a reminder of what I want to focus on in 2020.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to grab a good photo of my finished project what with this time change and cloudy weather! As soon as I'm able to, I'll share the printed dashboard in the VB facebook group and on my Instagram. All the social media links are below if you want to go check them out.

Thanks for reading! Happy Holidays!!
